Faculty Group Invests in Tevaera: Unique zkStack Gaming Ecosystem
We are pleased to announce our investment in Tevaera, a leading zkSync Era Gaming Ecosystem focused on unlocking the next era of web3 games. Tevaera is on a mission to simplify launching and playing multi-genre games using zkStack-based gaming hyperchain, an innovative gaming stack with turnkey SDKs, and a UX-centric layer of gaming apps.
Their gaming ecosystem can be broken down into 3 components:
- An L3 gaming chain built using zkStack, the same tech that powers zkSync Era. Teva chain supports native AA features and uses volition mode DA for powering one of the fastest and cheapest gaming chains on Ethereum.
- Teva Stack offers an exclusive crypto gaming stack, complete with ready-to-use SDKs and APIs for multiplayer functionalities, statistics, assets, reputation, and social integration; all of which is easily managed via their developer dashboard.
- The above layers power Tevaera’s consumer gaming applications, providing gamers with a one-stop web3 gaming experience and enabling users to trade in-game NFTs and tokens on one of the swiftest marketplace and gaming DEX.
Tevaera’s journey on zkSync Lite began with a Game-IP-first approach to better understand the friction points within web3 gaming infrastructure. With the launch of zkSync Era, the first zkEVM, Tevaera envisioned a comprehensive gaming ecosystem for effortlessly building, launching and playing web3 games, providing a player-first experience.
Over the last year, the team have onboarded over 850,000+ Soulbound Gamers with our first multiplayer game, Teva Run, alongside Guardian NFTs and an integrated marketplace, Teva Market. Tevaera has raised $5M led by Laser Digital, Nomura Group, along with many other leading VCs, to create a ZK Stack-powered gaming ecosystem.

This combined with their strong revenue model was a key part of our decision to invest in Tevaera.
